Havelock North Intermediate School

Hawkes Bay

Havelock North Intermediate celebrated its 40th birthday with a Treemendous School Makeover. The school transformed a large disused area of the grounds with native trees, bird houses and feeders, beehives and a waharoa (gateway), creating a place for the children to learn about flora and fauna.

A new pathway was built linking the three local schools in the area, allowing children to socialise with the other pupils in a shared community space.
