Konini Primary School

Parkway, Lower Hutt

Konini Primary School is now a TREEmendous school!

The bare boundary fence line will now become an engaging outdoor leaning area for the students and teachers of Konini Primary School.  A walkway has been created with seating surrounded by a thousand native plants and shrubs from the TREEmendous team.

This is the first stage of the school’s transformation plan completed.

The school hopes the outdoor learning space will allow its students to connect with nature, explore, observe and develop their understanding of biodiversity and how to protect our natural environment both now and in the future.

School staff and students, the wider Lower Hutt community, Mazda Foundation Trustees and the team from Project Crimson all got their hands dirty to help out.

Thanks to PAK’nSAVE Lower Hutt, everyone enjoyed a BBQ lunch at the end of a hard day’s work.
