Renwick School

Marlborough

Renwick School was one of the largest Treemendous School Makeovers with over 2,500 native trees planted. Part of the Renwick Community Creek, which runs through the school, was restored as it was in a state of neglect. Students picked up the rubbish and cleared the weeds, turning it into a suitable habitat for local bird life.

Pathways and viewing platforms were constructed which ran alongside the creek and lead to an outdoor classroom.

The makeover doubled as a science project for students, who measured the water quality and creature activity before and after the makeover to observe the changes the clean-up made.
