Wainui Beach School

Wainui Beach

Wainui Beach students are keen eco-warriors, they created a bush clad area along the grassed front boundary, giving them a place to learn, relax and play while also attracting more native birds to the area.

Many different species of native trees were planted and the children will learn both the Maori and botanical names, and their medicinal properties. They will also take sole responsibility for the care and maintenance of the area.

The school grounds are open to the public so the wider community can enjoy the area.
